Posted on Thu, 17 Jul 2014
Question: I've been taking over the counter testosterone booster pills(halotropin) from vitamin shoppe to help with my workouts. I've been taking them for about two months, I'm not taking anything else except fish oil. I should mention I am a 42yr old female. just recently I can no longer orgasm thru oral sex the sensitivity seems like its been affected before I had no problem. I haven't taking them about two weeks. Can I restore my sensitivity to my clitoris? Do you think I need more estrogen to restore it? Please Help me!

Brief Answer:
testosterone or fish oil not reason

Detailed Answer:
Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
Many women experience thus problem of not being able to have an orgasm with no apparent cause.
The drugs you mentioned may not be the reason.
The orgasm depends on blood supply to the clitoral area. Thus if you are not having any local infection or inflammation then there is no need to worry.
Lubrication also plays an important role. You mentioned that you have started l arginine. Thus may improve the blood supply to the area.
Sildenafil (viagra) 25 mg daily at bed time for 3 months also helps by the same method.
Please consult a physician before a starting sildenafil citrate as a detailed cardiac examination is a must.
You can expect results in few weeks.
Estrogen helps if you are in menopause or close to it. As you are young estrogen deficiency may not be the reason.
Please continue l arginine and consult your physician regarding use of sildenafil.
Hope this was helpful
Thanks
