What Casues Dizziness Along With Vomiting?
Question: My husband woke up in a deep sleep at 1 am this morning because of him getting very dizzy and needed to vomit. He then started to sweat a lot. He would vomit, get back in bed for about 5 minutes and needed to vomit again. I could see him sweat profusely. This was happening about very 5-10 minutes for hours this morning. He did not want to go in the hospital because he was so dizzy and vomiting. He is finally sleeping. He had no fever and his glucose count was good because he is a diabetic. Help, I need answers?

Dizziness with vomiting could be due to-
The First possibility is labrynthitis secondary to inner ear infection.
The Second possibility is vestibular neuronitis ( viral infection).
The third possibility is diabetic ketoacidosis).
The fourth possibility is acute Gastro esophagial reflux disease( gerd).
I suggest you to to consult ent surgeon and get detailed ent examination, otoscopy, balance test, audiometry, baseline ECG,ultrasound abdomen and upper gi endoscopy for gerd, urine for ketones.
I advise you to avoid heavy meal, you can start Cinnerazine as per your treating doctor.
