Question : My Mother who is 83 and active. Since Monday she has just been getting small bumps (5 now) on her head and now one larger on her back neck about a 1/2 dollar and others are bumps in di8fferent sizes from small dime to nickel and tender to touch. They are red in color. Sometimes they itch. When she comes her hair, it is tender sore to touch.

Looking a the clinical history and present query, I can think of
1. Allergic reaction to any material like XXXXXXX to head?
2. Infection possibly leading to nodal enlargement. infection in the hair.

I would think more of the allergic reaction, as it is starting slowly. However, taking antihistamines drugs should reduce it. Itching will also reduce.
They are tender to touch as they are inflammed now.

I need you to answer a few queries:

1. Can you look at her head to check for infection or any possible allergic reaction.
2. If possible, complete hemogram. To check for eosinophils or neutrophils.
3. If possible, attach an image of the bumps.
4. Any additional symptom or medical history you can think of.

Take antihistamines now, if the symptoms reduce, possible allergic.
