Question : Hi, i had three inyections of Betamethasone, two days later i had a acne breakout. I weight 90 pounds. How much time it will take to go away? After de shots i did a three day desintoxication, just green tea, water and pineaple. Please help me, i am desperate because i did not have acné before. Thank you in advance

I am sorry to hear that you developed acne after receiving steroid injections. This is a common side effect from steroid injections. It may take up to 2 months to recover from the acne as the injection lasts for 1 month. There is no treatment OTC or prescription that can reduce your symptoms. I do recommend regular washing with a mild soap and water 2 times daily. Please try not to use any of the OTC products for acne as it may worsen your acne and cause more damage to your skin.

Yes you could use antibiotics for the acute out break. Bactrim is a good choice as well as tetracycline. You may even discuss using metrogel which is a topical antibiotic gel
