What Cause Pink Color In Semen?

Question: Hi

I am 50 years old male and 4 months ago I saw light pink color in my semen I immediately went to a urologist who asked for urin and blood tests for blood in urine and analysis for prostate. I have done all the analysis and result came negative. He also asked for an mri and ultra sound and I have done them all and result was good.

Now I saw the same thing in my semen after 2 ejaculations so what I do now?

Also I have an upset stomach and very little stomach pain does that have do with this or just this has nothing to do with the blood in the semen. I have no other symptoms.

I worried please let me know what you think my doc appoint is in 4 days.

Regarding the color of the semen is light beige or very very light pink very difficult to tell.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have ejaculated pink coloured semen (Hematospermia) .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have any urinary symptoms like increased frequency for urination ,urgency,burning urination etc?
2) Do have painful ejaculation?
3) Do you have pain in perineal region?
4)Have you done semen culture?
5) Is it possible for you to post the all the reports of the tests that have been carried out so far?
6) Have you taken any medications ?

From the fact that you have posted the cause of haematospermia could e due to infection of either Seminal Vesicle or Prostate.

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily for 3-4 weeks .

Yes the are attached 6 files but they are 4 months old.

All the reports that youhave posted are well within normal range .
However some of the tests which could have helped in diagnosis have not been done .
1) Semen Examination and culture
2) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and Pelvis
3) Trans Rectal Ultrasound Scanning (TRUS)
4) Digital rectal examination by a qualified Urologist and swab test of a urethral discharge .

Please get these tests done and post me reports to make comments .

In the mean while continue taking medicines I have suggested in my reply reply.

Regarding the meds, you mentioned Cefexine. Do you mean Cefexime (Suprax)

and you mentioned 2 times a day but for which one Suprax 200 or Suprax 400?

Also the pharmacist thinks 3-4 weeks is too much for the Antibiotic.

What do you think please?

Thanks for follow up.You can take Cefexime 200 mg twice daily. for 4 weeks and repeat if required depending upon situation at that time.
