Posted on Mon, 20 Jul 2015
Question: Good Morning, I suffer from Chronic Pain and Chronic Fatugue. It is difficult fo me to excercise and I also suffer from Hyprthyroidism. What would you suggest for my thyroid as well as my appetite. I am 5 foot 7 and am 224 lbs last time I WEIGHTed my self.

This is only for one month, correct? I am not interested in a long-term contract, we have Kaiser insurance and I don't feel I am getting the medical care I need, it this is a year long contract, I need to cancel it immediately. I have been disabled since 2009 and have been denied twice. I have a lawyer now and have been waiting over a year. I don't have $15.00 a month to spend on this. I take morphine for my pain and medication for my cholestrol and meds for my thyroid but dont believe it is enough.

Thank you,
doctor

Brief Answer:
chronic fatigue syndrome and hyperthyroidism

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

It is sad to know what you have been going through lately, but switching to morphine analgesics and getting dependant on that is also not a very reasonable solution.

Also that the weight you have mentioned, with respect to height which you have shared, comes in above normal Body mass index. That along with chronic fatigue is more suggestive of hypothyroidism.

It is quite often while getting treatment for hyperthyroidism to over treat it without knowing and thyroid levels get supressed due to med. One needs to be worked up for thyroid function tests every third month, when on treatment to readjust the dosages according to latest levels.

You mentioned that you are not satisfied with your dyslipidemias and thyroid treatments and you think it's not enough, but for that you have to have some evidence based on your latest test reports, that whether meds are working or not.

I would still suggest you to have a health coverage done, as with chronic diseases it is more convenient to have all your ends secured.

Meanwhile for chronic fatigues, I would suggest you to become over social, and it may not be at expense of your rest though, and you can chose less strenuous activities, table games, drive and hang out with friends so that you shouldn't have enough time to think about pains and aches all the time. You will feel significant changes by doing so. I would also suggest you to attend social classes and get rid of this dependancy on morphine analgesics.

Eat natural, and try to avoid alcohol and smoking. You feel much better in every regard once you adopt such life style.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
