Question : I take Norethindrone. I missed a pill on August 1st. Which caused my period to start August 2nd it's now August 13th and I'm still bleeding, is this normal? Do I need to stop taking it for a few days then start again? What do I do? I've been taking the birth control on time everday minus August 1st

Brief Answer:
Feedback, combination tablet of mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid

Detailed Answer:
hi there.
I have gone through your question and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all, do not panic.

I will suggest you take tablets containing a combination of mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid for 2 to 3 days to control your bleeding. You can take these tablets two to three times a day until bleeding stops.

I would like to know about a few things in detail:

1. Besides missing your contraceptive pill and norethisterone tablet on 1st August are you still taking both these tablets?

2. What's the reason for adding a norethisterone tablet along with an oral contraceptive pill?
3. How many oral contraceptive pills are still remaining with you?

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
Your feedback will help me to suggest better treatment options.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Do not miss norethidrone tablet.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for appreciating my answer and reverting back to me.

I have read your reply.

I will suggest you to continue with your schedule of birth control pills without missing any tablet.
If you have taken the combination tablet containing tranexamic acid and mefenamic acid and if your bleeding has stopped then you need not take it.
Please do not miss norethidrone tablet.

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
I hop this answer helps you.
Thanks
