Brief Answer: rarely concerning... Detailed Answer: Hi, Vibrations within the stomach is most likely from strong peristaltic movements of the intestines. Rarely this can be a transmitted vibration/sound from an enlarged aorta. As it is not possible to perform a physical examination, I would ask for an ultrasound abdomen scan with X-ray abdomen (erect posture), serum electrolytes and thyroid function tests to exclude few medical concerns. His treating doctor can hear those vibrations using his stethoscope and then decide whether or not to order those tests. In short vibrations are not normal; but it is not always concerning. It is definitely unrelated to dilantin. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications. Regards
