Everytime I sit to poop I get a cluster of red dots on my hand. This has been happening for 3 months now. They are not itchy and flat. I would not even notice them if i didnt look. They dissapear within an hour. No medicine or cream helps. I watch them form as I am sitting a pooping. They are on my left hand only.
Likely urticaria and they are mostly allergic.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read your query and reviewed the attachments.
From the facts and pictures you shared, these flat and non-itchy red dots are likely urticaria (allergic hives) and mostly allergic and usually do NOT pose any underlying disease.
Also they usually get resolved by themselves without any treatment, as in your case too.
They are completely benign or harmless or non-dangerous, so there is NO need to worry about it.
Urticaria could occur as a result of physical touch, pressure, heat, cold, anxiety, exertion etc.
Causes are unknown in most of cases but it can be seen in certain infections or drug sensitivities or thyroid abnormalities, iron or Vitamin B12 deficiency.
In you case, they are mostly from some unknown cause or allergic.
So, there is NO need to go for any further investigations or treatment AT PRESENT since they are not troublesome to you and also disappear by themselves.
However, you can take over the counter antihistamine like cetrizine 10 mg to get rid off them if they DO NOT subside on their own or last longer than expected.
In case if they persist longer or become troublesome (intense itching develops),then you may go for further evaluation by complete blood count (CBC) with differential counts, stool tests for routine microscopic, ova and parasites.
Allergic blood testing specific IgE antibody can also be done to identify the allergen-antigen which is causing recurrent urticaria.
You can consult allergist or dermatologist who will know about the investigations and further treatment plan. Otherwise there is NOTHING to worry at present.
Hope this will help and let me know if you have any more doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Sandip Kabra
