Question : I noticed a small jellybean size cyst on my collarbone about a year ago. It didn't hurt and it didn't change in size. Recently, it has grown in size and there is a pain in that area on my collarbone. Recently, the last two weeks or so, I've been very short of breath. I have a general fatigue but that could be due to a number of things. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism, so I'm not sure if it's just related to that or if I should be more concerned. I had a brother pass away from leukemia and my maternal grandmother had thyroid cancer.

Brief Answer:
The exams needed;

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read carefully your description.
If you were a patient in my clinic, except of a detailed clinical examination i would recommend the following exams;
- A full blood count and a proteine C reactive
-TSH and Ft4 level
- A neck ultrasound.

The clinical examination and the neck ultrasound will help to differentiate if the nodule is within the thyroid gland or if it is a cervical lymph node.
If it is a reactive lymph node than the protein C will be high.
It will be a pleasure to help you further after the above results.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
