Question : A mole or mark appeared on my chin almost overnight. I previously I think had a spot there about 6 weeks ago
Brief Answer:
see doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The photo you included shows a darkened mole or lesion on your chin. It does not look like a cancer but it is concerning whenever a new pigmented lesion shows up in an area like the face where there is a lot of sun exposure. I do not think this is an emergency but it would be good for you to make an appointment with your GP and have them take a closer look at it. They may want to remove it or biopsy it if they think it is worrisome. In the mean time just keep a watch on it and if it changes, bleeds or becomes painful see a doctor right away.

Thank you. I am very worried and yave appt with gp in a few weeks. I am very anxious about it. Wgat could it be
Brief Answer:
try not to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello, It really does not look like anything suspicious for cancer. Sometimes we just develop new moles or skin pigment changes. Really, I have been in practice for twenty years and have never seen anything like this turn out to be cancer. Just try to stay calm and get it checked out.
