Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well your symptoms are broad and it is difficult to name a condition as the cause. But there is a strong possibility that it can be cervical spondylosis. Cervical spondylosis can give neck pain and numbness. Similarly any recent trauma or jerk to neck can result in these symptoms.

Ideally it should settle down with pain killler like paracetamol. So give it a few days and see if you feel better. But if it persists or increases even after that then x ray of cervical spine and further testing will be warranted . Any other query please ask.
