Question : I have a new, curious symptom. In my right calf I feel heat, as if I'm standing next to a heater. It lasts about a minute. Not painful, just unusual. About 8 times a day, not connected with any activity, and for about ten days.

I appreciate your concern

A DVT ( Deep Vein Thrombosis) should be ruled out. Based on the knee surgery history, age and presence of pacemaker, flow abnormalities are likely. A Doppler Ultrasound should be done to check for patency of the vessels in both the lower limbs. Treatment can be initiated once the cause is determined.
