Question : As I was picking up a pallet the other day I had instant lower back pain. It got worse over the weekend and I feel pain in my left buttock and my right knee. Could this be related to my back?
Brief Answer:
yes...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
it's most likely a protruding disc causing pressure on the nerve right on its way out of the spinal canal that causes this symptom. It's a little strange that you feel pain in both sides but it may happen. The fact that you had an instant pain right when you lifted the weight is enough evidence that you had damage to intervertabral disc. An MRI should prove this assumption.
You've got to visit an orthopedics specialist for further investigation.
The treatment involves pain control only in most cases. When motor functions are affected surgical options might be employed.
Kind Regards!
