What Causes A Large Bruise On Abdomen?

Brief Answer:
You probably have a hematoma.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. Please note that what you describe is very common with those patients on coumadin. You probably bumped yourself without really taking note and it really takes a small bump/trauma to get the bleeding going. I would make sure that your INR level is not sky high as this may need intervention. Most patients have their level checked 3 times a week, if you have extended your schedule to more that once a week, I would go into the lab and have a level drawn. I hope this helps and good luck.
