Brief Answer:
Yes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

If the knot is near or in the joint then it has to be aspirated. But if it is away from the joint then it will be alright within 10-15 days.

You should apply ointment betadine over scrap or wound do that may not get infected.

For safety purpose I advise you to get xray of affected part done in AP and Lateral view to rule out any hairline fracture.

I hope you have got your answer.

If you have found my answer excellent then you can close discussion and award me full marks.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
