Question : I have a small mole on the side of my face which a hair grows out of. It's normally quite flat and pale brown. This afternoon it has swollen as if it has turned into a large spot and is red like a big spot. Is it anything to worry about? It hurts just like a spot but I don't know if you can get spots on moles?

I have thoroughly reviewed health query you raised, and well realize all of those concerns.
this condition can happen and this is not unusual since any irritation,foliculitis or allergic reaction may lead to mole changes which are usually temporary and pass on itself. so I dont think that treatment is required at this point. just wait and see what happens in next several days. later ,such moles should be surgically removed if symptoms recur often.
