Question: I have just had a low gfr reading. This was the morning after a large meal with high protein value and also 5 glasses of wine. Could this have been why my reading was low

Brief Answer:
No, it does not

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Large protein meal and wine specifically cant necessarily lead to an acutely lowered GFR. A healthy diet rich in protein normally increases GFR. Kindly state your GFR levels to comment, further.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
