Question : For the past nine or so months the week leading up to my mensturation I get a marble sized lump under my right arm. There is pain when touched and at times a dull ache

The lump could be due to folliculitis or due to enlarged lymph node due to hormonal changes.

Just wait and watch on it( either it is increasing in size and shape and pain increase or decrease).

Hot fomentation is effective in your case.You can take analgesic if pain is more.
