Question : Hi there! Over the last few days, I've noticed a mass or lump near, almost connected to, my right testicle. I'm not sure if it is swelling or something else. It's mildly painful sitting or when touched but no other symptoms or issues. I've had no problem urinating or any other unusual instances. can you provide some insight!??

Brief Answer:
Cyst from epididymis or epididymitis as the commonest cause

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/40 - mass or lump - almost connected to right testicle - mildly painful sitting or when touched - noted over last few days - no other symptoms...

The commonest cause of such a swelling is:
Epididymitis.
Cyst connected to epididymis

This can best be confirmed by the following:
Clinical examination preferably by a General Surgeon or an Urologist.
High resolution Ultrasound and color doppler almost gives a confirmed diagnosis.
Additional tests of blood and urine may help.

Please get these done as confirmation is very important to get the correct diagnosis at the earliest so that an appropriate treatment can be instituted giving the best possible results and possible cure.
I hope this answers your query, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
