Question: my daughter is one year old. she fell down from the steps and had a goose egg swelling in her forehead. can i apply thrombophob gel over the swelling. what treatement can be done to reduce the swelling.

No need for any medication - the swelling will subside by itself

Detailed Answer:
Hi....I understand your concern. Actually the swelling will subside by itself....no need for any medication.

If there is any blood clotting in the swelling, it will initially turn greenish blue and then brownish dark and ultimately will reduce in size and gradually get absorbed.

But as you have suggested, you can use Thrombophobe ointment...it will hasten normalcy.
