Question : What causes a painful lump on the butt cheek?
was badly bruised. The bruising is healing but I have noticed a hard lump forming under the skin on my bum cheek and inner thigh. It is painful when touched. What could this be and should I see my go? ...

It could be a blood clot.

Hi
The painful lump that is left could be a Blood clot.
It could be due to Spontaneous rupture of blood vessel or by trauma.
Ultrasound of that area will confirm the diagnosis.
It will also exclude an abscess.
Please consult a General surgeon,get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
