Question : About a week ago I felt a quarter sized dome shaped lump on the top left side of my head under my hair which is and somewhat painful when touched. It is still there and slightlly painful. What do you think it cold be and do I need to see a physician ?
Brief Answer:
an inflammed sebaceous cyst probably
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
painful lumps are usually inflammed sebaceous cysts. They are benign cysts that at some time may get inflammed and require drainage and excision. Obviously the diagnosis can be confirmed only after excision so you'd better visit a general surgeon for the rest.
I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
