Question : Hello, so i got this pimple looking bump in my butt cheek , and i searched up what it was and most people said it was nothing, that their doctor said it was nothing , but i saw one person comment that to him it sounded like herpes. So today i asked my girlfriend if she has checked herself before we had unprotected sex and she said 3weeks before we did and i was the only person she has been with since. I was a virgin so i never had sexual intercourse until i was with her. So it couldnt come from me that is of i have anything. So if she got checked and has nothing and it was my first time can i still get something or is just a pimple etc.. and i also have some pictures, nothing explicit. Is there a way i can send them to you. Thank you very much

Brief Answer:
Probably just a pimple

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Let me assure you that what you describe is likely to be a simple boil or a bacterial skin infection. What you are concerned about is genital herpes but what you suspect it to be is a simple herpes infection. These two are not the same. Herpes can affect anyone and is not necessarily related to sexual partners but more importantly herpes infection is very painful, something that you have not mentioned it to be.

So, stop worrying. Stop suspecting your partner. Probably it is just a pimple (bacterial infection) that you are getting concerned about.

Feel free to write back.

Brief Answer:
Simple bacterial infection

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I have gone through the images. It does not seem to be herpes, rather it seems to be a bacterial soft tissue infection as suggested earlier. You may apply mupirocin ointment or neosporin topically for relief.
