Brief Answer:
Can be pityriasis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic,
If not responding to antifungals it can be Pityriasis XXXXXXX or Pityriasis versicolor.
Pityriasis versicolor is a rash caused by a yeast-like germ while Pityriasis XXXXXXX is a low-grade type of eczema/dermatitis.
If possible please attach few photos of the patch,so that I could suggest you a treatment and diagnosis.
Few general instructions are-
-Use lukewarm water for your showers and baths. When the skin becomes overheated, the rash can worsen and become more obvious for a while.
-Apply moisturizers like petroleum jelly (Vaseline) or ointments and creams.
- Apply over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream slightly for a week.

Brief Answer:
Vitiligo most likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Most likely it's Vitiligo.

Leucoderma, also known as vitiligo, is a rare skin disease characterized by white spots and patches. The white patch or spot is called as leucoderma and when it occurs without any preceding disease it is called Vitiligo.

The problem usually starts with a small white spot which later develops into patches. These patches are pale in the beginning, but become whiter and whiter as time passes by due to loss of pigment. Vitiligo is a treatable condition, though treatment can take two years or longer to regain pigment, and repigmentation may not be 100%. A topical corticosteroid may help return the color back to (repigment) your skin, particularly if you start using it early in the disease.

Ointments containing Tacrolimus or Pimecrolimus (calcineurin inhibitors) may be effective for people with small areas of depigmentation, especially on the face and neck.

Apart from that light and laser therapy can also be used.

I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist (skin specialist) at a multispeciality center because the earlier the treatment starts, better are the results.

Thanks and good luck XXXX.
