                                            Question : I have had a red patch in the center of my chest for a few years now. It doesn't itch and has not spread anywhere else. What on earth could it be?

The mark which you have is.called a port wine stain of capillary haemangioma.
It is more or less like a birth mark ,stays with you always .
It doesn't cause any problem but for cosmetic issue .You are lucky it is on the chest and is covered hence even the cosmetic problem is solved .
Some people have on the face .
Of it is very troublesome you can get it removed surgically but it is not necessary.
