What Causes A Red Spot In The Eye?

Question: There is red spot on my wife's right eye all of sudden when she wakes up this morning, is it somthing we need to worry ?? She recently changed her glasses.

Apparently by your description it seems to be a sub conjunctival hemorrhage.Though I would be keen to look at a photograph to confirm.This is painless and would resolve in about a weeks time and needs no treatment.

My dear,
Good of you to get back to me.
This is sub conjunctival hemorrhage.As I said this doesn't need any treatment and will resolve in a weeks time.
Is she taking any oral medication?Pain killers can always induce such hemorrhage.Stop painkillers for a while if she is taking any..I am sure there was no injury or severe cough otherwise you would have mentioned it.
No treatment is needed.

She is not taking any pain killers, she only on medication for Thyroid and supporting vitamins D tablets, no injury or Cough

In case if there is irritation,lubricant drops like refresh tears drops can be used and it will start fading from outside .
