What Causes A Red Spot On The Penis?
Brief Answer:
Doxycycline Prophylaxis will be helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your picture. Herpes lesions are painful and there will be burning sensation or itching. So it is not likely to be herpes. Syphilitic chancre can be suspected as it is a painless lesion. If possible you can go for dark field microscopy of scrapings from lesions after consulting a dermatologist. If that is not possible then 1 week of doxycycline antibiotic will be helpful to clear if there is any such infection. Doxycycline is given in dosage of 100mg twice daily for 1 week. This is a prescription drug and you have to approach your local doctor for it.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

thank you for your reply. at what stage would the lesion erupt if it was syphilis? Would my pubic lymph nodes not swell as well?
Brief Answer:
Rashes will appear on secondary stage.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
The rashes on body may appear in secondary stage of syphilis. In primary stage there will be just syphilitic chancre on site of entry which is usually on genital area. There can be lymph node enlargement also. Usually this will subside gradually and later on it will develop into secondary stage if not treated with antibiotics.
