What Causes A Round Lump On The Side Of The Anus?

It looks like a Perianal abscess.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, it looks like a Perianal abscess.
I have seen many patients coming to my clinic with severe pain near and and when I ask them to sit, they cannot sit properly. If the swelling touches any surface, it will be more painful.
The swelling might have come down due to spontaneous rupture of the abscess.Once the pus has come out, some amount of blood will be oozing. It reduces in course of time.
Another condition that has to be excluded is Thrombosed pile.It is seen at the anal opening. Once the blood clot is dissolved or come out,the swelling comes down and there will oozing of blood from it which gets reduced gradually .
If you do not have any objection,Please post a pic showing the site of lesion .
Please consult a General surgeon/Surgical Gastroenterologist, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

It can be Haemorrhoids.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
To say it as a Haemorrhoids or Perianal abscess, doctor should see and palpate the lesion. Per rectal examination should also be done.
In some, haemorrhoids bleed a lot. They are nothing but swelling arising in relation to a blood vessel.
When there is trauma or irritation to the swelling during defecation , it bleeds.
In my opinion, you should consult a Specialist, get examined clinically and get appropriate prescription.
Wish you good health.
