Question : I am taking losartan hctz for blood pressure issues. After a few weeks I noticed a salty taste in my mouth. I told my doctor. I asked him if the medicine could be causing it. He said no but I have been doing research and it says the medicine can cause the imbalance. I will call my doctor today but should I skip the med today to see what happens? Thanks
Brief Answer:
If you feel you can skip one dose.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Losartan Hctz is usually not associated with any taste in mouth.I don't think it's associated with this medicine. However you can skip one dose and see if any thing changes.Every body is different it may be possible that a very rare side effect may be apparent in your case.
Thanks.
