Brief Answer:
Possible infection or stone.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Has this been going on for awhile, or just started?

You may have prostatitis (inflammation or infection of the prostate) or a bladder infection. A urinary tract stone can give this sensation too, depending on where in the urinary tract it is.

Either way, the thing to do is to go in to a clinic and give a urine specimen, and likely have a digital prostate exam. If there is indication that it may be a stone, the doctor may want to get an X-ray or ultrasound too.

If it is an infection, treatment is an antibiotic (and lots of water and cranberry juice).

If it is a stone, you will need to push fluids. Based on imaging, they would be able to know the size. Very large stones are not expected to pass by pushing fluids, but your symptoms are not consistent with a large stone.

So the thing to do is go in to be seen so that these possible scenarios can be sorted out.

I hope this information helps.
