Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for consulting Healthcare magic .
This is Dr. Priyanka tiwari answering your query .

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as soft bump (swelling) after several years of wisdom tooth extraction is concerned it can be due to root remnant of wisdom tooth , improper healing of extraction socket , gingival overgrowth or it could also be some bony prominence left unfilled after extraction .
For this I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for clinical examination and intraoral periapical radiograph to confirm the underlying cause accordingly treatment can be done . If bump is due to root remnant then removal of root stump is done . If it is gingival growth then surgical excision and for bony prominence Alveoloplasty treatment is done.
Dont be worried so much . Do warm saline rinses and maintain proper oral hygiene . Brush your teeth twice daily . Use mouthwash regularly .

Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.
