What Causes A Soft Lump On The Elbow Joint?

My husband is having fatty liver from past 3-4 yrs. Dr said it might lead to XXXXXXX and was given medicine. Recently we found a soft lump infront of elbow joint and it's very soft and movable. Kindly advise.

Hello. Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I appreciate your concerns regarding your husband.
Fatty liver has many causes like hepatitis B , hepatitis C, obesity, alcohol intake , metabolic syndrome and NAFLD.
So I will advise him to undergo few tests to know the cause of fatty liver like HBsag, ANTI HCV ab, calculate his BMI to see whether he is overweight or obese, blood sugar, test for autoimmune liver disease And lipid profile
If all these are negtive then we can say it is due NAFLD ( non alcoholic fatty liver disease). Treatment of which is weight reduction by less caloric intake in diet and regular exercise. Some medicines also helplike ursodeoxycholic acid and vitamin E. If any of the above mentioned test is positive then it is to be treated accordingly. If he take alcohol then ask him to avoid that.
Soft tissue lump is lipoma, there is nothing to worry about it as most of them are asymptomatic throughout life. If they cause any problem they can be removed surgically
