Question: Recently I have noticed my urine has I strong odor of almonds? No pain when urinating, nothing. Onset was sudden and has been an issue for several months... Why is this?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Urine smelling like almonds indicate either an infection or excess of proteins. It needs baseline urine routine examination, culture and sensitivity of the urine and also 24 hour collection for proteins assay.

Almond smell could also point towards concentrated urine and inadequate fluid intake or dehydration.Asparagus in diet can also give such smelly urine. take plenty of fluids, increase garlic intake, cranberry juices and do the following labs of the urine. After the labs discuss them with your doctor.
