Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that it is very unvommon for vein to be swollen rather I would like to rule out Temporal arteritis as there can be swelling of temporal artery which also lies above ear . Also let me know if you suffer from headache also . Plus it will be beneficial if you send me a picture of the affected area .
