Question : Hi,
My daughter (2 years old) has something sold (swelling) and sort of spherical in shape about 2 cm increased in 2 weeks to about 3 cm in diameter on her right neck ( it is only slightly visible when she turn her neck) but can be felled easily by my fingers when i touch her neck, under her skin, exactly in her central right neck.
I recognized it 20 days ago.
What do you think is it? And what is your advice?
Regards,
Almabrouk

Brief Answer:
Swollen cervical lymph gland
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr. kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have noted your concern.
Perhaps it is a swollen cervical lymph node. Lymph nodes can swell if there is inflammation in the area of drainage - it may be a skin infection e.g a bacterial folliculitis or sore throat/ throat infection.
I suggest a course of an oral antibiotic e.g either Amoxicillin or Cephalexin, for a week. They are prescription medications and it suggest that you talk to your local doctor for the same.
Regardsx
