What Causes A Tingling Sensation In Urethra And Clitoris?

default
Posted on Mon, 22 Dec 2014
Question: Hi,
I've been experiencing a tingling in my urethra and clitoris. My clitoris kind of burns when I touch it, and I've been peeing more. There is also a white buildup in my labia and clitoral hood. At times, it even feels itchy. The tingling has grown and feels pretty constant now, too. I went to the doc and from the test, it wasn't clear if it was a uti but he put me on cipro. I've been taking it for 2 days now, but I would say my symptoms have slightly worsened. I'm also fearful now that it could be an STD. I'm going to go back tomorrow but have been extremely anxious about things the last two days regarding this. I'm wondering if you may have any insight. Thank you.

Thank you, doctor. There are no lesions. I had sex with a new partner 4 times in the last month and we used condoms each time, and I didn't see any sores or lesions on him. I've also asked him if he's had symptoms and he said no. We are both a little worried.

Thank you so much. This gives me a lot of relief. I'll go back to the doctor today to have an STD test just in case. And I'll follow your recommendations. I had sex last weekend and I was given oral sex for a long time - I'm wondering if this may have irritated it bc my symptoms started shortly after. Would it be likely that they would last this long? (Almost a week)

Brief Answer:
May last for week to 10 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
Oral sex may be the cause for irritation.
Usually it should subside by week to 10 days, if due to irritation or cut or abrasion.
Do not repeatedly wash with harsh soaps .You can use gentle cleansers or mild soap if need be.
You can get examined and investigated to rule out STDS.
You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you
