What Causes A Tiny Black Dot Above Urethra?

default
Posted on Wed, 3 Dec 2014
Question: Hello, I have a tiny black dot slightly above my urethra. It has been there on and off for about a year.
It is slightly raised above the skin and seems to have the texture of a scab. Sometimes, the "Scab" falls off by brushing against my pants or through some other means and there is usually a stinging sensation associated with this. Once the "Scab" falls off it leaves a small crater until the next "Scab" reappears. I have read about people with the exact same condition, but have not found out what it is, or what to do about it. I spoke with a general practitioner yesterday but, he didn't have much insight.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you for responding.

1. I do not have a history of infections in my gentry tract.
2. I have recently been tested for HIV, Syphilis, Chylmd, Gonorrhoeae.
The HIV and Syphilis tests came back negative but I did not get the results back for the Chylmd or Gonorrhoeae test for some reason.
3.I have attached a pic. (please let me know if it's clear enough. If not, I can try to take a better one.
4. I have used over the counter anti-bacterial ointment but not on a regular basis.
5.I am not currently taking any medications

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The description you provided indicates that it could be warts or mucous bleeding forming a small clot that worn off subsequently. These however are based solely on the history.

You should monitor for the size of the spot , if there is a growth spurt then a biopsy to rule out cancer may have to be done.

I couldn't see any picture. The picture hasn't been uploaded.

Thanks.
