Question: I have a very small ganglion cyst on my right hand wrist and very painful. What can I take for pain.

I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.

the ganglion seems to be right over your wrist joint. being on the joint, any movement of the wrist causes mild inflammation in the ganglion and surrounding tendons and ligaments causing pain.

best treatment for pain is wear a wrist immobiliser belt and try to reduce the wrist movements. applying local gel and hot fomentation will also help.

if at all the pain is very unbearable, take safe anti inflammatory analgesic tablets like paracetamol,tramadol,piroxicam ,etodolac etc.

try and avoid taking pain killers as they are not good for kidneys and liver
