Question : Hello, the last few days I have felt a warm sensation on the inside of my lower right leg. It feels like someone is pressing a heating pad against me for a few seconds and then goes away. No pain, not warm to the touch, nothing strange on the skin. I have a slipped L4-L5 and believe this may be a symptom of my ongoing nerve issues. Could that be so? Or could it be something else entirely?

Brief Answer:
It is the most probable cause.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Given the fact that there is no visible change to the skin, local temperature or pain there is little possibility of it being related to vascular or joint involvement. That distribution isn't typical for peripheral neuropathy either.

So that does indeed leave your lumbar nerve root issue as the most possible cause which can cause abnormal sensations as part of its symptoms. Of course if there appear any new symptoms which could indicate something else I will be available to discuss them with you.

I hope to have been of help.
