Question: I have a white alcerated looking thing under my tongue. I normally wouldnt notice but its been going on for weeks. At one point my inside lips were dry craked and also ulcerated. What do you think it is and why has it lasted for weeks? You can see the raised white part in the pic. I have to tell you it really really has hurt.

Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based on the image you uploaded and the history , it's likely to be aphthous stomatitis. Doxycycline, b complex vitamins and folic acid supplements help heal such lesions in time. However with a prolonged history, and failure to resolve, an oral brush biopsy biopsy should be considered in consult with an oral physician to rule out the posibility of malignancy.
