default
Posted on Mon, 20 Mar 2017
Question: Lower Stomach pain that extends to lower intestines. This is also associated with lower back pain. Frequent watery stool and bloating. I've had several colonoscopies, but they can't be completed due to a kink in the intestine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Its unfortunate that none of the colonoscopies are being completed. A stool for ova and parasite and routine exam should be done. Urinalysis and ultrasound abdomen /pelvis can be advised as part of the workup to rule out other causes. Based on your description, its likely to be irritable bowel syndrome. I would recommend vegetable charcoal in combination with sucralfate as the initial treatment. I have had positive results with this combination in many of my IBS patients who weren't responding to the conventional treatment. The vegetable charcoal also has spasmolytic added in the eucarbon form available. Probiotics like enterogermina vials twice a day would also help.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
