Brief Answer:
intestinal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HealthcareMagic,

I do understand your concern

With such a presentation in my clinic, I would first rule out intestinal infection by doing a stool examination to know whether it is due to parasite or bacteria. Treatment depends upon the exact finding on stool examination. Do drink plenty of fluids at home to replace lost fluids and salts in loose motion. You can take [ORS] solution after every bowel motion (these are available without any prescriptions).

You can take few preventive steps to prevent it in future-:

1) Serve food hot at home or refrigerate it to stop bacterial infection
2) Do wash your hands and work surfaces during food preparations
3) Try to avoid under cooked meats and dairy products
4) Use bottled mineral water whenever you go outside
5) Ask your doctor about taking a preventive antibiotic when you are traveling to a distance place.

Hope that helps
