Question : Hello, for the past couple weeks i have had a very bloated stomach. It has gotten worst and is very uncomfortable. Im not passing gas or having stomach aches, i feel 9 months pregnant and look it took.My bowels seem normal and I'm eating extra carefully.even lying in bed this morning my stomach was protruding. i starting taking a probiotic but it hasn't helped. i am suffering from a bad cold/flu so i thought maybe the pressure was from that. But this did start first. I'm 5"8 194 # and 58 years old woman.

i take levothyroxine 112 since 2003. last summer i started taking venlafaxine HCL ER 75 for depression and menopause

Have seen your details and I appreciate your concerns.
As per query most likely you are having dypepsia characterized by Abdominal bloating. It usually gives you a sense of fullness and bloating in your stomach and can cause your abdomen to appear larger and swelled up. This can be a side effect of antidepressants you are on I would suggest you shift on SSRI as compared to SNRI(better tolerated e.g Paroxetine).

Few suggestions-
Don't exceed fibers more than 25 gram per day.
Take light easily digestible vegetarian food.
Take Omeprazole.40mg twice daily for 2 weeks This is over the counter and would help you with gas.
Continue taking probiotic like VSL#3 twice daily. All are over the counter.
Avoid meat and eggs.
Avoid cabbage broclii etc.

Follow up after a week.
