Question : I am 67 yrs old and have been in menopause for @ ten years; recently (2 days ago) I began to feel very mild cramps that felt a lot like past periods. I have been bleeding a little since then; feels like I have a period. Is this cause for concern? I am no longer sexually active in case that relates.

Brief Answer: yes. needs further evaluation Detailed Answer: Hi, I went through the query and understood your concern. Yes, you should get evaluated for the cause of bleeding. Bleeding pervaginally and abdominal cramps at this age is not normal. I recommend you visit a gynecologist who can carefully examine you and order for investigations such as USG abdomen and pelvis, per speculum examination and pap smear along with complete hemogram. These will help in diagnosis and your further management. Hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries and I will be glad to answer them. Wish you good health. Regards
