Question : yesterday I had a pain shot at a pain clinic, during the injection if felt abdominal cramping and asked if this was a normal reaction. They told me no and had me wait several minutes after the injection to make sure I was okay. Today I slept late so skipped breakfast. I had a normal lunch but I was feeling very shaky. I thought it must be simple low blood sugar and used my husbands test kit and my sugar was 113.I was surprised but thought it would go away. It still has not gone away and I feel sweaty what should I do?

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thanks for writing to hcm. Since you have not been feeling normal for over a day it is worth being evaluated. A drug reaction sometimes can occur in a delayed manner. Your glucose level was normal so that doesn't explain the symptoms. Since you are continuing to feel shaky and sweaty my advise would be for you to visit the emergency room for a thorough examination of your vitals and body before which a definitive treatment plan can be chalked out. We need to find out why this is happening. Is it the drug or is it anything else that we are missing. Kindly keep me updated on the developments. Wishing you good health. Warm regards.
