Brief Answer:
Infection unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Belly getting bigger or abdominal enlargement can be due to obesity, due to deposition of fat in the abdomen, due to increased size of liver or spleen or can be due to collection of fluid in the abdomen.
Infection is unlikely to cause any enlargement of belly.
I will suggest you to get a ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
