Question : I had iguinal hernia surgery three weeks ago. I am experiencing pain near the incision area; the pain comes and goes, but gets worse when I sit down. It is not a severe pain, but it does hurt.
Brief Answer:
It could be due to Mesh
Detailed Answer:
Hi
At the age of 52,prolene mesh will be used for Hernia repair. As it is non absorbable,it remains intact causing some discomfort. It will come down gradually.
The drug Dicyclomine is smooth muscle relaxant.I prescribe skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside 4mg twice daily to my patients with similar complaints.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
