Question : For the last few days I have had mild abdominal pain, have been passing stools up to four times a day. They are firm and dark brown in colour. I have also been passing clear /yellowish mucus. Both mucus and faeces smell sweet. Should I be concerned?

Read the history and understood the problem.

To recapitulate: few days- mild pain - firm and dark brown , sweat smelling stools with clear / yellowish mucus- frequency up to 4 per day - in a female person of 30 years.
It is better to be concerned as this is not normal.

All the symptoms and the history is indicative of a mild intestinal infection.
I would advise you to get stool test done.
Get started on an antibiotic, metronidazole, probiotic in an appropriate dose under Doctor's prescription for a duration of 5 days.

I hope this should cure you of your problem.
If there is no complete resolution after 5 days, further tests may be needed.
