Question : I am XXXXXX from XXXXXXX aged 68 years. Some times I get abdominal pain / stomach pain just under ribs. Some times pains start immediately after food. gradually pain gets reduces but low pain remains.
Presently I am taking Meftal spas tablets. Vut that is not giving full relief. I like to know the cause of such pain. My BP and sugar are normal. This for the past one year. I like to know the reason and advise forgetting it cured.

Liver and gall bladder are present in the right side under rib cage.
Diseases related to these organs may cause pain.
Ultrasound abdomen will confirm any problem in these organs.
Stomach is present just beside these organs. Acid peptic disease will also cause pain there.It is confirmed by Upper GI Endoscope.
Please consult your doctor and get Ultrasound abdomen and Upper GI Endoscope.
As it is related to food, it looks like acid peptic disease.I prescribe Proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole to my patients with similar complaints.
You should also get a ECG to rule out heart problem.
